ABOUT

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin School of Social Work in 2008. Before going into private practice, I worked in a variety of agency settings for almost 10 years providing individual therapy, group therapy, case management, and community based trainings. I have extensive experience and training working with  both adults and children who have experienced trauma, grief and loss, behavior issues, depression and anxiety. I also have a passion for working with people struggling with fertility issues. With this experience I bring many perspectives and skills to the therapeutic relationship.

Instead of focusing just on a diagnosis or "problem", I like to look at each person's strengths, resources and resiliency while also addressing symptoms. My work integrates the use of evidence-based practices with the art of determining what is most helpful for each individual. Treatment approaches that I often use are play therapy (typically for children ages 3-12), solution focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and psychodynamic therapy. I do believe that you are the expert on your life and experiences and will start from where you are comfortable.

I have lived in Austin for over 15 years and enjoy taking in the city with my family. I also enjoy watching sports, reading, and trying out the many amazing resturants Austin has to offer!
